However it doesn’t just protect from biting bugs, the net is made from a solar screen mesh which blocks out 80% of the suns harmful UV rays, making it great for horses who may be prone to sunburn on their noses. It features soft padding under the noseband which also helps to minimise irritation and prevent rubbing of the skin. The net is easy to fit, as it just attaches to any head collar via the simple hook and loop straps.
